Evan leads Two Roads Leadership Project as its Executive Director. Evan has spent his 30-year legal career navigating criminal cases, campus disciplinary issues, and workplace misconduct allegations. After graduating law school Evan spent over twenty years in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office where he was the Deputy Bureau Chief of the Sex Crimes Unit and a homicide prosecutor. In these roles Evan handled hundreds of sexual assault and other violent felony cases. After leaving the DA’s Office Evan served as a criminal defense lawyer and handled misconduct allegations on college and secondary school campuses advising students throughout their schools’ grievance processes.
Evan also works closely with athletes and professional sports organizations. He has run multiple investigations for the National Football League and the National Basketball Association. He has advised numerous Division I athletes navigating their school’s disciplinary process.
Evan has repeatedly seen fundamentally good people make terrible decisions that have had tragic, life-changing effects for themselves and others. These experiences prompted Evan to shift his focus to preventative strategies: how to draw on his experience to create unique and effective training modules that help young adults avoid making serious mistakes in the first instance.
